Antique Spode Tab Handled Chinoiserie Platter Clobbered Aesthetic Brown Transferware swedish nightingale Chorus - For auld landHere is a magnificent Aesthetic transferware tab handled platter plate by Spode Copeland in the Canton pattern. The impressed stamp on the back dates to 1879 1880. Enamel highlights are enamel painted ( clobbered ) over the glaze in chartreuse green, rust, Robin's egg blue, turquoise and mauve with a peachy gold lustre over part of the scene. The handles are embossed florals and painted in black and tan. Measures 10 1 8" handle to handle x 9 3 4"
