HTF Turkey No 12 Plate Game Birds Vintage Spode Copeland Tower Blue Transferware fuschia decor The fair's motto was "ScienceVINTAGE Spode Copeland Tower Game Bird Series Plate Turkey No. 12 BLUE TRANSFERWARE Absolutely stunning example of the Game Bird Series by Spode Copeland depicting Woodcock with the classic Tower border. The birds are framed in a border of various woodland botanicals. Stunning! Hard to find! The Tower pattern was first introduced in 1814 and was derived from a printed illustration titled 'Views of Rome and its Vicinity' published sometime around 1798.
