So at some stage in the 19th century someone got their hands on this amorphous baroque pearl and thought: "that looks like a pig's body and legs"
each one featuring floral openwork detailing and set with a rose cut diamond in the centre
and exceptionally bright in foil backed settings
which itself hangs from the poissarde tops

It features a central glass locket compartment at present home to a woven lock of hair (removable) within a double halo of natural pearls and turquoise cabochons, the latter in the crimped settings popular at the time.
