Schorl - Dravite Tourmaline in Quartz #5 statement This Copal from Madagascar hasThis incredible specimen of Tourmaline in Quartz is believed to be from the Piaui River Pegmatite in Minas Gerais Brazil, rather than the more commonly labelled Piaui region in north east Brazil. Rather than being a straight Black Tourmaline (Schorl), it displays a rich yellow green brown colour when backlit, and is instead much more likely to be a member of the Schorl Dravite series, with varying concentrations of iron and magnesium. The growth
