Nampeyo Of Hano art-code-9/45 16 x 13 x 1116 x 16 This lovely old storage jar was created by this matriarch of the Hopi pottery revival in the late 1880s. From her village of Hano, Nampeyo's designs were based on the ancient pottery shards her husband brought home from his work for the archeologist Fewkes who was excavating the Sikyatki ruins there. It holds the sacred blue corn that unites all generations of Hopi
