LOT.322 SPORTS JACKET "MELANGE CHARCOAL" Headwear making this parka a standoutDetails: Crafted in a reproduction of "TWEEDUROY" used in the 1930s sports jackets in Takahashi's collection. "TWEEDUROY" is a printed corduroy fabric to resemble wool tweed, and was used mainly for boys' and school uniforms. It is not clear whether it was developed because it was more durable than wool fabrics, or whether it was developed to imitate tweed and appear luxurious. This unique fabric was created by the Hockmeyer Company of Massachusetts
