At its center is a large 'cross potent', a cross with four equal arms, each with a crossbar at its end. In each of the four quadrants created by the cross potent is a small Greek cross or 'crosslet', which also has four equal arms but no crossbars. The whole Jerusalem cross is curved to follow the circle of the ring. To either side of the cross is a
