I've absolutely dosed these in leather restorer as the scales where beginning to lift a bit as you can see

the odd missing stitch to button placket but all works well

I have had cuff bands with snap closures added

vintage of uncertain age! fine navy wool crepe and gold lamé striped fortuny style scarf 1940s It's a very imaginative repairI've had this for such a long time now while I puzzled over it! At first glance it could be relatively recent (70s 80s?) but when you look closer the material seems earlier, in a Fortuny style pleat, as does the style of fringe. I've shown it to another dealer who also thought it was pre war but it's really hard to say for certain.. I'm still undecided! Measures: When unstretched it is approx 10' wide, stretching up to approx 24" It's roughly 78" long
