There is smocking the the waist for ease and suit closes with a back metal zipper

1950s Cotton Dress with Multicolored Skirt 1950_belt Nightie has lace cap sleeves1950s cotton dress with color blocked skirt. Bodice has a row of functional buttons and one row of decorative buttons. Waist is fitted with darts. Skirt is full with diagonal pastel stripes. There is side metal zipper closure. Nice condition, some wear commensurate with age. There is mend in the skirt near the waist but it's not readily noticeable due to the fullness of the skirt. There is evidence that it originally had belt loops but none currently
