40's Gray Wool Hat dm ad richmond Vintage Los Angeles LA CaliforniaA gray wool and aralac blend brimmed hat from the 40's. Aralac, a fiber derived from milk, was developed in the 40's when wool was scarce during WWII. It's use was discontinued after the war. The label is "Betmar" and "Merrimac Hat Corp" is stamped on the inside. The hat measures 20" around the inside band, the brim is 2" and the crown is 3". Excellent vintage condition. Catalog # 6436
