This will prevent the body from tearing out. The sheets are installed at the point where the transmission bridge is screwed to the body. The sheet is plasma cut from 3mm thick steel and can be welded to the subfloor without any problems, just please note the usual pre treatment steps that you should do with every welded sheet.
